Ferdinand doubt for Inter clash
Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is a concern for the Champions League clash against Inter Milan this week after picking up an ankle injury in the FA Cup quarter-final win over Fulham.
Ferdinand was taken off at half-time and left Craven Cottage with a protective boot on his right foot following the 4-0 win, courtesy of two goals from Carlos Tevez and strikes from Wayne Rooney and Ji-sung Park.
The injury setback was the only sour point to a relentless display from United, who remain in the hunt for a quintuple this season.
"Ferdinand is a bit of a concern,'' Ferguson said. "He went over on his ankle and I hope he is alright for Wednesday because he is so important to us.''
