Beckham: United Only Team In Manchester
With every passing day it seems more inevitable that Kaka, AC Milan’s Brazilian genius, will leave Italy and join Manchester City in a world-record deal.
But David Beckham, recently arrived at the San Siro, has made it plain that he disapproves of the whole affair, and he still disregards the cashed-up Citizens as a serious threat to his beloved Red Devils.
“I only care about Manchester United, personally,” the former Old Trafford favorite said in The Sun.
“City have been bought by a company now and there’s a lot of money there. But for me, United are the only team in Manchester.”
Beckham is one of many Milan stars urging Kaka to snub the Sky Blues’ astronomical offer, but he trusts that the former FIFA World Player of the Year will make what he believes to be the right choice.
“Kaka doesn’t need my advice. He will decide what he wants to do,” the England midfielder said.
“It’s not always about money. It’s about playing for the best team, playing with the best players in the world and winning trophies and being successful.
“He’s one of the best players in the world and every Milan player is there to support him and encourage him, but we will see. We want him to stay.”
