Inter boss plans another disappointment for Fergie's Manchester United

Jose Mourinho is not afraid of facing Manchester United next week as the Inter Milan boss knows what it takes to beat Sir Alex Ferguson.

Mourinho got the better of Ferguson's United while boss of Porto and his Chelsea side lost just once in 12 meetings with the Red Devils.

Ahead of welcoming Ferguson to the san Siro for the Champions League last-16 tie, Morinho said: 'I’ve already played against Manchester United several times and I know perfectly their way of playing. We’ll have time to prepare ourselves for that game.

'We’re not afraid of Manchester United and we know we can beat them, even though I recognise that they’re a strong team with a lot of qualities.
'We have to understand that it is a game with completely different characteristics to those we have in Milan, for example. It is a knock-out competition, against a team from another country, which plays in a different way.

'That’s why the preparation and the way of approaching the game will also have to be different. But on the day of the match we’ll be ready to face them.'

Inter are encouraged by last weekend’s derby win against AC Milan, a result which strengthened their position as clear leaders in Serie A.

But Mourinho added: 'I haven’t yet decided if we’re going to play the same way because Manchester United have their own way of playing.

'But I like what we did against AC Milan. The team had its own personality and knew exactly what it was doing.
'First, we’ll think about the league game against Bologna, which will be very difficult, and then, yes, we’ll start to think about Manchester United.'
