Liverpool To Take First Option On Spanish Prodigy?

Liverpool are understood to be considering a summer swoop for young prodigy Oscar Sielva at La Liga side Espanyol, with the Premier League club having first option to sign the midfielder as part of the deal that took Albert Riera to Anfield.

17-year-old Sielva is a rising star of Spanish football and is valued by the Periquitos in the region of £2million, with Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez believed to be a big admirer of the attacking midfielder.

Sielva, who played in a pre-season friendly against Premiership Champions Manchester United, first came to prominence, while starring for the Spanish Under-17 side that won the European Championships last year in Turkey.
