Report: Daniel Agger Signs New Liverpool Contract
The Reds have tied the Denmark international down to a long-term deal...
Daniel Agger has finally put pen to paper on a new contract with Liverpool, according to a report in British tabloid The Sun.
The 6ft 2in Denmark international centre-back had been linked with a move to Italian outfit Milan and Spanish side Real Madrid, having lost his place in the starting eleven to Martin Skrtel.
However, it seems that the Reds have fended off interest from their European counterparts, as it is claimed that 24-year-old has signed a new €80,000-a-week (£70,000) contract at Anfield.
As yet, the length of the contract has not been mentioned and the Reds have not confirmed the news on their official website.
