Liverpool FC injury update
Rafa Benitez today revealed how Fernando Torres and Alvaro Arbeloa could be fit to face Real Madrid on Tuesday night.
Torres limped out of the first leg with an ankle injury, while his compatriot also hasn't featured since the 1-0 Bernabeu win due to a hamstring problem.
Both players are working hard with the club's physios but Benitez will leave it late before making a decision.
"Fernando is improving but it's still too soon to say if he'll be fit," Benitez told Liverpoolfc.tv.
"He is working hard with the physios and we now have two or three more training sessions before we have to make a decision.
"I think he can be close but each player is different. We just have to wait and see.
"Arbeloa is much the same as Torres and we will try to push him harder over the next couple of days."
Another player fighting to regain fitness in time for the Champions League second round second leg is Daniel Agger.
Benitez added: "It will be harder for Agger but he too is working hard with the physios. All three could be close."
