Simon Kjaer interested in move to Anfield
Palermo defender Simon Kjaer has admitted that he hopes to forge a successful defensive partnership with Daniel Agger if Liverpool win the race for his signature.
The centre-back, 20, is highly sought after by a string of Europe's top clubs and is set to decide his future before travelling with Denmark to South Africa for this summer's World Cup.
Kjaer joined Palermo over two years ago but is now looking to make the next step in his career and cited a move to the Anfield outfit an "attractive" prospect as it will allow him to partner compatriot Agger in the heart of the Reds' back line.
He said: "I will take a step towards the dream or I will stay in Palermo. I would prefer to have it sorted out before the World Cup. I am ready for a new challenge, but is has to be an attractive club.
"The Premier League is the best league in the world, and then there is Barcelona and Real Madrid in Spain.
"England and the physical playing style would probably suit me better. In case the right offers come, it would be exciting to form a partnership with Agger."
