Liverpool target summer swoop for Malaga Midfielder

Liverpool are considering an offer for Malaga star Ignacio Camacho. It has been reported that Brendan Rodgers is willing to pay up to £13m to tempt Malaga into a sale.

The 23-year-old has been present in the heart of Malaga's midfield in 21 games this season, providing a rare positive note to what has been a tough season for the southern club.

Malaga are fighting hard against relegation and Camacho is likely to leave regardless of whether they survive or not. They are still suffering from their recent financial problems and will need to raise funds from player sales to plug any gaps.

That has given Liverpool reasons to be optimistic with regards to a summer pursuit and £13m is believed to be enough to seal the 23-year-old's signature.

Rodgers will continue his recruitment drive at Anfield as he continues to try and bring glory back to Merseyside. Liverpool are currently the dark horses in the title race this season but a few additions in the summer could quickly elevate them to serious contenders or even favourites.
