Liverpool legend Phil Thompson has claimed that the Reds have a deal to sign Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona in place.
Sanchez, who is also a target for Arsenal this summer, is expected to do depart Barcelona after a falling out with new manager Luis Enrique.
And according to Thompson, he will be rocking up at Anfield this summer, after some ace detective work.
What will happen to Luis Suarez in the future? Is he angling for a move? Who knows,’ he said during a discussion on transfer.
‘Just yesterday I heard things from people, newspaper guys who are very close to the ground at Liverpool, saying that the Sanchez deal was actually done.’
Sanchez is valued at about £27million by Barcelona and Liverpool scouts are known to be following him in action for Chile at the World Cup in Brazil.
