Man City have £12m Bellamy bid accepted
Manchester City have had a £12million bid for Craig Bellamy accepted by West Ham after the Upton Park club turned down a matching offer from London rivals Tottenham.
City agreed to pay £10m up front for the29-year-old striker, with an additional £2m possibly to follow related to performance.
Bellamy’s advisers were sorting out personal terms on Sunday night, with the Wales international thought to be keen on linking up again with his former national team boss Mark Hughes.
As City prepare to bring a delegation here on Tuesday to continue their negotiations over the £100m transfer of Brazilian star Kaka, manager Hughes will hope to complete the £15m signing of Hamburg midfielder Nigel de Jong.
He also wants to bring in a central defender, with City inquiring about Inter Milan veteran Marco Materazzi as well as maintaining an interest in Chelsea’s Alex.
