Tottenham Hotspur could launch SHOCK Anfield raid
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club are being linked with a move for Daniel Agger.
The future of the Danish international at Anfield has been of some speculation all season, since he lost his place in the Liverpool side to Slovakian ace Martin Skrtel.
AC Milan and Real Madrid have been heavily linked with £12million bids for the former Brondby player, but Harry Redknapp may offer him the chance to remain in England.
Agger will be out of contract at the end of next season and talks over a new deal have so far been fruitless, increasing speculation he could be leaving Merseyside in the summer.
Despite the reported interest from White Hart Lane, the player is likely to be more tempted with a move to Italy or Spain and a team in the UEFA Champions League.
Meanwhile, an injury to Ledley King has heightened Redknapp’s need to sign a new defender, as he revealed after the 1-1 draw with Portsmouth on Sunday afternoon.
“You saw today we picked up a few injuries. Ledley is going to be out for the long term so we need to strengthen the squad," Redknapp told Sky Sports 1.
