Manchester City in for £10million Liverpool star

Mark Hughes is planning a £10million bid for a Liverpool Football Club star.

The boss of the mega-rich Eastlands club is eager to make a bid for a top-four place next season, and is willing to again spend heavy in the summer.

Bolstering his back four is amongst his priorities for the new season, and it is believed he will make a move for Anfield centre-half Daniel Agger.

The Danish international is out of contract at the end of the 2009/10 season, and is at loggerheads with the club over a new deal.

AC Milan and Real Madrid have been linked with the former Brondby ace in recent months, but City are set to enter the race with an offer of £10million.
