Reina: I'm going nowhere
Pepe Reina has dismissed claims by his father that he may be moving to Atletico Madrid, insisting that he is happy with life at Anfield.
Former Atleti goalkeeper Miguel Reina last week claimed that he would try to convince his son to move to the Vicente Calderon Stadium but the Reds' stopper has refuted the comments and insists that he remains totally committed to the Anfield club.
"It's my father who made this declaration because he wants me to play for Atletico, but as far as I'm concerned, I don't," the Liverpool keeper told Radio Marca.
"If one day I was to think of moving back to Spanish football, Atletico would be my first option because it's a club I have a lot of affection for.
"Nevertheless, saying that I want to move to Atletico right now is wrong because I'm happy at Liverpool."
Since signing from Villarreal in 2005, Reina has helped Liverpool to success in the FA Cup and won the Barclays Golden Glove award for the past three seasons as featuring in Spain's successful Euro 2008 campaign.
