Gerrard confidence while taking spot-kicks
Steven Gerrard claims he is now so confident taking penalties that the implications of missing never occur to him.
The Liverpool captain has a 100 per cent success rate from 12-yards so far this season, netting seven times, including two as part of his hat-trick in the Reds' 5-0 thumping of Aston Villa on Sunday.
"I've got more confident the more penalties I've taken," Gerrard told LFC Magazine. "Missing doesn't ever enter my thoughts now.
"I used to miss the odd pen here and there because I was frightened. I'd beat myself up before I'd hit it.
"I've grown into taking pens and I always feel as if I'm going to score. I wouldn't be hitting them otherwise."
