Real stopper Casillas fears steven gerrard
European superpowers Real Madrid and Liverpool will resume their battle for supremacy on Tuesday night when they contest the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 at Anfield.
The English outfit hold a slender but pivotal 1-0 lead from the away tie but the Spanish side’s shot-stopper, Iker Casillas, has warned that his team will go all out to win the game, although he acknowledged that Reds captain, Steven Gerrard will be an integral figure in the battle.
“We are going on there to win from the very first minute. We have regained our dominance in Spain [over the last two seasons] and now we want to recover our hegemony in Europe ,” he told reporters on the eve of the clash.
“I’ve always heard that Anfield is a special place. I am really looking forward to play there. It motivates me and I hope that we can obtain a victory.
“Any win will send us into the next round of the Champions League. Well, except for 1-0 because that will send us into extra-time first,” he added.
Casillas was asked who from the opposition he would like to see absent from the game and his answer was not at all surprising.
“If it were up to me, I would remove Steven Gerrard. But then again, he did not play a big role at the Santiago Bernabeu and Liverpool still did very well,” he reasoned.
“If I could, I would also take off Xabi Alonso and [Javier] Mascherano. But in truth, Liverpool ’s forte is that they are a collective group.
“All we need is a little bit of luck. To win games like these especially in the knockout rounds of the Champions League, you need to give everything but a pinch of luck will also come in handy,” he stressed.

Hey there, I've just uploaded my version on the match preview, mostly around Javier Mascherano. I'm pretty sure tonight he will be the main point for LFC in stopping Real. What about you?
