Vidic gets two match ban
The Football Association have confirmed Nemanja Vidic will sit out Manchester United's next two Premier League matches after his dismissal in Saturday's defeat to Liverpool.
The Serbia centre-back was sent off in the 4-1 humbling by their title rivals at Old Trafford for denying Liverpool captain Stephen Gerrard a goalscoring opportunity.
As it was Vidic's second red card of the season - the other also against Liverpool for two bookable offences in a 2-1 loss at Anfield in September - it means he misses two matches.
Along with this Saturday's trip to Fulham, Vidic is unavailable for the game at home to Aston Villa on April 5, one that could switch to April 4 if United play in the Champions League on April 7.
United midfielder Ji-sung Park, meanwhile, is convinced the club's worst defeat at home to Liverpool since 1936 will be nothing more than a blip en route to reclaiming the title.
Speaking to www.manutd.kr, the South Korean said: "Obviously it wasn't a good result for us, but the league is not over and we're still top.
"If we produce good performances, like we have been doing, for the rest of our league games this defeat will not be a big problem.
"We don't have a match until next weekend, so it's good we can take some rest and get ready to play Fulham.
"We must forget about this result, because next weekend I am sure we will be back with a good performance.''
