Is Pepe Reina Returning Back to Anfield?
Pepe Reina was sent on loan after dropping down the pecking order since the arrival of Simon Mignolet last season. Reina had a decent loan stint and Napoli are interested to make the deal permanent.
It is now understood that Liverpool are struggling to agree a fee with Napoli for the permanent move. It looks like Brendon Rodgers is ready to let the spaniard leave as his hunt for another goalkeeper continues.
Reina had expressed its interest in continuing at Napoli under former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez who had brought Reina to Liverpool nine years ago.
The move seems very unlikely until Liverpool lower their asking price. If the situation remains as it is then it is inevitable that Reina will return to Anfield although for how long still remains a question.
