Liverpool youngster could be on his way to Portugal

Liverpool’s young playmaker, Suso, could be on his way out of Anfield as Portuguese club, Porto, are lining up a transfer bid for the player, reports talkSPORT. Suso moved to the Reds in 2010 and has a decent reputation at the club, but he has largely been loaned out to other teams until now.

He spent last season at Almeria where he notched up 3 goals and 7 assists in 33 appearances for the La Liga side. Having already enjoyed a relatively successful season in Spain, Porto are hopeful that he will be able to cross the Iberian Peninsula and perform at the same level for them.

The club’s manager, Julen Lopetegui, has had experience working with the youngster during his time in the Spanish international youth set up. Lopetegui was clearly impressed by the talent that Suso has to offer, and is thought to be very keen on a reunion at the Estadio do Drago.

From an Anfield perspective, it is still not clear what Brendan Rogers wants to do with the player. Despite a growing reputation, Suso is tipped to leave the side who finished second place in the Premier League, during the summer transfer window. Originally, it was thought that he might have been used as a makeweight in a deal with Sevilla for their left-back, Alberto Moreno, but that idea appears to have gone cold now.
