Liverpool prepared to sell Suarez to Barcelona

Reds also prepared to sell Suarez to Barcelona for Alexis Sanchez plus £50m and then the money can be used to sign Benfica winger.

Liverpool will sell Luis Suarez to Barcelona for £80million - and buy Benfica's Lazar Markovic from the same money.

The Reds are prepared to offload striker Suarez following his four-month ban from all football for biting Italy's Georgio Chiellini at the World Cup this week - but only if Barca meet their valuation.

The Spanish giants' new coach Luis Enrique is still interested in signing the Uruguayan even after him being banned for 4 months, comparing him to former Nou Camp firebrand Hristo Stoickhov.

The Reds are already are on talking terms to sign Chile World Cup star Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona.

Liverpool would take the Chilean in part exchange for Suarez only if Barcelona are ready to meet their overall asking price of £80million.

Rodgers' main target remains the benfica attacker Markovic. He is a long-time admirer of the Serbia international winger.

Markovic, 20, has a £20million buy-out clause in his contract and is understood to be keen on a move to Anfield.

Liverpool also want Lille's teenage Belgian World Cup forward Divock Origi.

They are prepared to loan him back to the French club for next season if a deal can be done now.
