Rodgers to raid his old club

Liverpool are hopeful of completing a double raid on Swansea City pair Wilfried Bony and Ben Davies over the next week as Brendan Rodgers looks to rebuild his squad as he prepares for life after Luis Suarez, according to the Daily Mirror.

Suarez is set to complete a £75m move to Barcelona in the coming days and Rodgers is looking to turn to his former club in a bid to give his side a boost after losing their star player.

The Swans are apparently already prepared for the duo to leave as Tottenham Hotspur have already been linked with making a move for both of them.

Spurs had apparently offered midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson for Davies and goalkeeper Michel Vorm, but it was dismissed out of hand.

However, Brendan Rodgers is keen to step up his own interest in the pair by making his own double bid.

Striker Bony, who bagged 25 goals in 48 appearances for the Welsh side across all competitions last season, is said to be valued by the club at around £20m, while Wales international left-back Davies is priced at a much more modest £8m.
