Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed that the Serie A club are interested in signing both Lucas Leiva and Michu this summer.
The Brazilian midfielder has been linked with a transfer away from Anfield in recent weeks as Brendan Rodgers looks to freshen up his midfield options ahead of the club’s return to the Champions League.
Napoli are also keen on luring Swansea striker Michu to Italy on loan for next season.
And De Laurentiis is hoping to have a deal wrapped up to bring at least one of the players to the club’s Dimaro training camp.
“Michu and Leiva? We continue to monitor the situation,” De Laurentiis told Sky Italia.
“We’re having discussions, probably we’re also doing some contract drafting.
“Well, I would like to take someone to Dimaro.”
Lucas, 27, made 20 Premier League starts for Liverpool last season and seven appearances from the bench.
