Real madrid ready world record bid for Suarez
Real Madrid are rumoured to be preparing a huge 100-million bid for Liverpool and Premier League top scorer Luis Suarez this summer, Daily Star reports.
Although the Uruguayan striker recently revealed his intentions to remain at Anfield, a massive offer from the Spanish giants could sway Suarez to depart Anfield.
A bid of the mentioned sum will break the record transfer fee the side paid for Gareth Bale last season, making Suarez the world’s most expensive player.
The Reds star netted 31 goals this past season topping the Premier League goal scoring charts, ten more than his Liverpool team mate Daniel Sturridge in second place, despite missing the first six games due to a suspension.
Carlo Ancelotti has targeted him as a possible replacement for current striker, Karim Benzema, who only managed 17 goals in La Liga the past term.
Former Madrid president Ramon Calderon also stated that a move to bring the sensational striker to the Bernabeu is surely not out of the question.
Calderon said: “Luis Suarez, no doubt, is one of the best players in the world and he’s had a fantastic season with Liverpool.
“Of course Real Madrid could bid for him.
“With Real Madrid, you have to expect anything – that’s for sure.
“Benzema is a good player but it’s true he didn’t score as many goals as people thought he should.”
