Liverpool agree Moreno deal
Liverpool are believed to have agreed a deal for Sevilla defender Alberto Moreno, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish newspaper El Confidencial reports the Reds have settled on an £18m fee with the La Liga side and agreed a five-year deal with Moreno.
The left-back has not been included in Vicente del Bosque’s 23-man squad for the World Cup which starts next Thursday in Brazil and so is free to travel to Merseyside to complete his medical, which is expected to be done next week.
It’s been a busy day for Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers in the transfer market, having also sealed a deal to bring Emre Can to Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen.
Can joins Rickie Lambert as Liverpool’s summer arrivals so far, with the England striker having joined from Southampton on Monday.
