Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker has held talks with Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace, but he is still considering his options and is holding out for a move to Liverpool, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Bluebirds skipper was given permission to speak to QPR and Palace after they both met the £8 million release cause in Caulker’s contract.
The centre-half held talks with both Premier League clubs but the former Tottenham Hotspur player is waiting to see if Liverpool make a move for him.
Caulker played under Brendan Rodgers during a loan spell at Swansea City back in the 2011/12 season.
But Liverpool want Southampton defender Dejan Lovren and should Lovren move to Anfield, the Saints are prepared to make a move for Caulker.
The 22-year-old, who has one England cap, made 39 appearances for Cardiff last season, scoring five goals after joining for £8m from Tottenham last summer.
